DMCA & Copyright Policy
Effective: June 10, 2026 (v1.0)
Demades respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains how to report claimed copyright infringement on the Demades service, how to respond if your content is removed, and the policy under which we terminate repeat infringers. It implements our obligations under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
Designated copyright agent
Demades has registered a designated agent to receive notices of claimed copyright infringement with the U.S. Copyright Office, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2). Notices may be sent to:
- DMCA Agent, D3SMC LLC (d/b/a Demades)
- Austin, Texas
- [email protected]
The agent's full registered contact details are on public record in the U.S. Copyright Office's DMCA Designated Agent Directory. Please send DMCA notices to [email protected]; this is the fastest route to our agent.
Reporting claimed infringement (takedown notice)
If you believe content available through Demades infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act for, send a written notice to our designated agent at [email protected] that includes all of the following, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)(A):
1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf. 2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, for multiple works, a representative list). 3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, with enough information to let us locate it — for a Demades episode, include the episode link. 4. Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. 5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. 6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
On receiving a compliant notice, we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the identified material and will make a reasonable effort to notify the affected user.
Counter-notification
If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice to our designated agent at [email protected] that includes all of the following, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3):
1. Your physical or electronic signature. 2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before removal. 3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification. 4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Demades may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or that person's agent.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant first notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
Repeat-infringer policy
In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), Demades has adopted and reasonably implements a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also limit access to the service or remove content at our discretion, with or without notice, for any user we determine to be infringing the rights of others.
Misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. Please ensure your notice or counter-notice is accurate before sending it.
Relationship to our corrections process
This DMCA policy governs copyright complaints. Requests to correct or take down a false or misleading statement about you or your organization — including defamation and right-of-publicity concerns — are handled under our Editorial & AI Policy, which describes our acknowledgement and resolution timelines.
